Let your paper crafts bloom with the August Paper Pumpkin kit: Meaningful Flowers! This month focuses on the message of the lotus and forget-me-nots. Their meaning is inscribed on the back of each card. You can easily accessorize each card with the included watercolor paper pieces, vellum, and linen thread. Start with a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 5-1/4" x 4" (13.3 x 10.2 cm) and a piece of Glorious Gingham paper in Pecan Pie measuring 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" (14 x 10.8 cm). Use the circle die from the Reach for the Stars Dies to create peek-through pieces in each paper. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (14 x 21.6 cm). Fold this in half to create your card base.
Use a Blending Brush with Coastal Cabana ink and blend around the circle. Stamp the lily pads and stems in Coastal Cabana Ink using the Lovely Lotus stamp set.
Use Stampin’ Seal to adhere the gingham peek-through piece to your card front. This piece should align perfectly with your card front. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the white piece on top. Now that your peek-through piece is aligned with the card base, you can stamp the sentiment in Pecan Pie ink in the center circle.
Next, use a Sponge Dauber to apply both Bubble Bath and Calypso Coral ink onto the lotus flower stamps. Stamp the images onto a blank piece of Basic White cardstock. Fussy cut the images and adhere them to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finish it off with some Pastel Sequins!
Supplies: Meaningful Flowers Paper Pumpkin Kit; Basic White Cardstock; Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper; Crumb Cake Cardstock; Calypso Coral Stampin’ Pad; Bubble Bath Stampin’ Pad; Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Pad; Pecan Pie Stampin’ Pad; Pastel Sequins; Reach for the Stars Dies; Blending Brush; Sponge Dauber; Stampin’ Dimensionals; Mini Glue Dots; Stampin’ Seal.
To create this bag, we used the striped paper from the Delightfully Eclectic series. Cut your paper down to 11-1/2" x 7-1/2" (29.2 x 19 cm). Score the paper all the way down at 1/2" (1.3 cm), 2-1/2" (6.4 cm), 6" (15.2 cm), and 8" (20.3 cm). Fold the paper at each scored line. On each folded line, cut up 2" (5.1 cm) and fold each flap upwards. You should now see the bag take shape. On the short sides (the width) of the bag, you’ll want to score a line right down the middle. (The sides measure 2" (5.1 cm), so your score line should leave 1" (2.5 cm) on each side). This line should not be folded or cut, just pinched. Use Tear & Tape to put the bag together! Punch small holes toward the top of each side and thread the Sheer Ribbon through the holes to create small handles.
Use the Deckled Rectangles Dies and cut out a large floral piece of paper for a background layer, and a smaller rectangle in Basic White. Stamp the forget-me-not image on the Basic White rectangle using Memento. Color as desired using Stampin’ Blend colors Old Olive, Fresh Freesia, and Daffodil Delight. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the two rectangles together.
Stamp the sentiment using Memento onto a thin Shaded Spruce cardstock label. Use white embossing powder on top and heat emboss. Adhere the sentiment below the rectangular gift tag. Tie the gift tag onto the bag using Bakers Twine. Finish it off with some Tinsel Gems!

Begin with the basic lotus flower card base from the kit. Use the Pretty Peacock Ink Spot and the forget-me-not flower stamp and directly stamp into the card base for a cute background image.
Take the forget-me-not card base, and cut off the opening flap. Align the flat edges about 1/4" (6.4 mm) away from the border of the card base. Adhere using the included Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use the precut label and stamp your sentiment on using the Pretty Peacock Ink Spot. Tie a small bow using the linen thread, and adhere it in the center of the card with a Glue Dot. Place the sentiment on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
